About This Call
Now in its 57th year, the Lowell Arts Fallasburg Arts Festival is a premier fine art and fine craft event featuring 100 juried artists, food vendors, children's activities, craft demonstrations in a covered pavilion, and live music performances on an outdoor stage. This two-day festival takes place September 20 & 21, 2025 in Fallasburg Park, one of Kent County's most scenic public parks, situated along the Flat River north of Lowell, Michigan. Located just 14 miles east of Grand Rapids and one hour from both Lake Michigan and Lansing, the festival draws an estimated 25,000 visitors annually.
The festival uses a blind jury process, with selections made by a committee of community arts professionals. Artists are chosen based on originality, quality of work, and their contribution to a diverse range of media and creative styles. A non-refundable jury fee of $35 is required. The festival accepts original work in categories including Basketry, Ceramics, Digital Art, Fiber, Glass, Jewelry, Leather, Metal, Mixed Media, Painting/Drawing, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Soap and Skin Care, and Wood. All exhibited work must be the original concept, design, and execution of the exhibiting artist, who must be 18 or older.
Booth options include Single Booth (12' x 12') for $250, Corner Booth for $295, and Double Booth (12' x 24') for $495. Artists must provide their own 10' x 10' white canopy tent secured with weights. Artists participating enjoy complimentary morning refreshments, booth sitting services, loading assistance, professional overnight security, food vendor fast-pass tickets, and custom booth signage. Artists retain 100% of their sales proceeds. A $200 Best of Show Award will be presented to one artist, with automatic acceptance to the following year's festival and waived jury fees.
