Fall Colors

The Contemporary is seeking works that address the artist's perspective and explore the colors and lighting of autumn. Works combining these elements will convey an alternative and exciting approach to this special time of year where shadows grow long, the air is cool and crisp, and the surrounding foliage is resplendent. Native American artists are strongly encouraged to participate and will be given special consideration.

Accepted media include acrylic, oil, assemblage, charcoal, color pencil, collage, drawings, encaustic, graphite, illustration, mixed media, painting, printmaking, and watercolor. Acceptable sizes are up to 60 inches. Sculpture, jewelry, digital art, prints, and video are not accepted. Submit images and details for no more than 4 works.

Eligibility: All applicants must be 18 years of age or older and reside in the United States. Entry fee is $35.00 plus $10.00 media fee. Awards include Best in Show ($500 cash, $500 in Free Play, weekend stay in Dancing Eagles suite, and Certificate of Commendation), Chairman's Choice ($250 cash, $250 in Free Play, weekend stay in Dancing Eagles suite, and Certificate of Commendation), 2nd Place ($250 cash, $250 in Free Play, weekend stay in Dancing Eagles suite, and Certificate of Commendation), 3rd Place ($150 cash, $100 in Free Play, weekend stay in Dancing Eagles suite, and Certificate of Commendation), and three Honorable Mentions ($100 in Free Play, weekend stay in Dancing Eagles premium room, and Certificate of Commendation).
