About This Call
The Fine Arts League of Cary invites artists to submit work for the 25th Annual Juried Exhibition, held at the Page-Walker Arts and History Center, 119 Ambassador Loop, Cary, NC 27513. The exhibition runs from March 11 to April 11, 2020, with a reception and awards ceremony on March 27, 2020, from 6-8 pm.
Artists age 18 and over with residences in the United States are eligible to enter. Each artist may submit up to three pieces of art, though only one piece per artist can be accepted. The entry fee is $35.00 for up to three pieces and is non-refundable. Eligible work includes any medium, style, or genre of 2-D artwork, including mixed-media and photography, but excludes giclée prints and art reproduced on canvas. Artwork must be family-friendly, created after January 1, 2018, and not previously exhibited in FALC shows. Maximum size is 38" x 48" including frame. Artwork with glass cannot be shipped. All work must arrive dry, wired, and ready to hang, and must remain in the exhibition for the full duration even if sold. All artwork must be available for purchase, with FALC receiving a 25% commission on sales.
Juror David Shevlino will select works from digital photographs submitted through CaFE. Prize awards include 1st Prize ($1000), 2nd Prize ($750), 3rd Prize ($500), and five Honorable Mentions ($50 each). Online submission runs from January 10 to February 15, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notifications of acceptance or rejection will be sent by email on March 1, 2020. Hand delivery of artwork is March 10, 2020, from 12-4:30 pm, or shipped delivery by March 10, 2020 by 5 pm.
