FALC 20th Annual Juried Art Exhibition

The Fine Arts League of Cary invites artists to submit work for the 20th Annual Juried Art Exhibition. Open to current residents of North Carolina, South Carolina, or Virginia only. Artists may submit 1-3 images of 2D works including paintings and photography. Works must be entirely the work of a single artist, executed within the last two years, and must not have been exhibited in previous FALC juried shows. Artwork must be family-friendly and appropriate for the general public.

Artwork specifications: Maximum dimensions 40" high by 30" wide including frame. Pieces must be totally dry, securely framed, wired, and ready to hang. No clip frames or sawtooth hangers accepted. Glass glazing permitted up to 18" by 24"; use plexiglass/acrylic on larger pieces. Maximum weight 18 lbs. Back-stapled, edge-wrapped canvases must have edges painted to match or complement the artwork. Giclees, photographs reproduced on canvas, copies, or reproductions will not be accepted.

Entry fee is $35 for up to 3 pieces. Notification of acceptance: February 13, 2015. Artwork must be received by February 24, 2015. Exhibition opens February 25, 2015 with reception and awards on March 1, 2015. Show closes April 18, 2015. Artwork pickup: April 20, 2015. Shipped artwork returned April 23, 2015. Awards: 1st Place $1,000, 2nd Place $750, 3rd Place $500, plus Honor Awards (amounts vary by sponsorship). A 25% commission charged on all sales. Artists responsible for insuring artwork during transit and providing return shipping label.
