Faces: International Juried Art Exhibition NYC

Faces is an open call to artists for an international juried exhibition at Site:Brooklyn exploring new ways that artists are representing the character, disposition, and complexity of human faces. The exhibition will reflect ambitious, innovative and contemporary work in painting, drawing, printmaking, mixed media and photography.

Eligibility: Open to all artists 18 years of age or older working in two-dimensional media. Entry fee is $35 for up to three images, plus $10 for each additional image (minimum 3, maximum 12 images required). Only original works may be submitted. All entries must be registered by midnight April 15, 2018 MST. Notification of acceptance will be made via email by April 23, 2018, with a return confirmation of participation required by April 27, 2018.

Accepted work must be maximum 48" x 60" x 4" D, professionally framed (Plexiglas required except for hand-delivered work under 24" x 30"), wired and ready for hanging, and priced for sale. Work must arrive at the gallery between May 7-21, 2018 (shipping address: Site:Brooklyn, 165 7th Street, Brooklyn, New York 11215) or be hand-delivered May 20-21. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs and insurance. Site:Brooklyn retains a 50% commission on all sales. Exhibition dates: May 25 – June 24, 2018, with opening reception Friday May 25, 6-9 PM. Hand-delivered work must be removed June 25-26, 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The juror is Jacqueline Towers-Perkins, Specialist of Post-War & Contemporary Art at Bonhams Auctioneers in New York.
