FACES & FIGURES | Monthly Art Challenge (Online)

Faces & Figures invites artists to explore the human form in any style, from realism to experimental, from intimate studies to bold narrative scenes. Portraits, bodies, gestures, expressions, posture, and the quiet story a figure can hold are all welcome interpretations of the theme. Selected works are featured in a curated online collection with artist name, artwork title, and website link.

Entry is open worldwide to artists 18+. Both 2D and 3D works are welcome, including painting, sculpture, mixed media, photography, and digital art. You must own the rights to the work and imagery submitted. Entry fees are tiered based on the number of images: $18 for 2 images, $25 for 3, $36 for 4, $45 for 5, and $55 for 6 to 10 images. Images must be submitted as JPG/PNG files with a minimum of 2000 px on the longest side.

Judging criteria include craftsmanship, presentation, interpretation of the theme, composition, creativity, and technical skill. Best in Show receives a $150 cash award, artist interview, The Moir mini spotlight feature, homepage feature, and a free Blue Sky Artist Award entry. Runner Ups (Traditional & Photography) receive website feature, dedicated social media post, Art Journal mini spotlight, and a free Blue Sky entry. Finalists (Top 15 to 20) receive permanent listing, digital certificate, and social highlights. All selected artists are listed on the curated collection page. Deadline to enter is March 31, 2026. Results will be emailed April 18, 2026, and awards will be dispersed April 23, 2026.
