Faces & Figures - A Juried Virtual Gallery Show

The Flagler County Art League (FCAL), a non-profit art association located in Palm Coast, Florida, invites submissions of up to four entries to the Faces & Figures juried virtual exhibition. The show seeks work about faces and figures that explores the essence of being human—what it means to have a human experience, how our abilities and limitations bind us together, and how that experience is reflected in faces and figures. Artists are encouraged to submit work about people of all ages, sizes, genders, and colors in various states: resting, working, playing, struggling. The exhibition welcomes expressions of human emotion, from relaxed and excited faces to angry faces, and explores how pain, joy, and fear manifest on the human face and in the body. Artists may also focus on individual body parts such as hands, eyes, or feet.

Entry fee is $20 per piece with a limit of 4 entries per artist. Digital images must be submitted by February 7, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Images should be 1500 to 2500 pixels on the longest side, saved as JPEG files with a maximum file size of 5.0 MB. Acceptance notices will be communicated by February 17, 2021, and award winners will be notified by February 28, 2021. The show runs from February 28, 2021 to May 30, 2021. Monetary awards are given for Best of Show, 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place, with certificates awarded to additional winners. All sale proceeds go directly to the artist; FCAL waives any commission percentage. The virtual gallery displays digital images only; original artwork remains in the artist's possession. Entries must be original work created by the artist within 3 years of the show date and must not have been entered in any previous FCAL judged show.
