FACE TO FACE

Art Fluent invites artists worldwide to submit artwork to an online exhibit titled FACE TO FACE. The theme focuses on portraits as windows into human experience, capturing emotions, stories, and identities beyond physical representation.

JPEGs are due by Friday, March 29, 2024 at midnight MST. Notification of acceptance and online gallery opening will be by Friday, April 26, 2024. All accepted pieces will be displayed in the online gallery at www.art-fluent.com. Awards include Best of Show ($750) and two Director's Choice awards ($250 each). Entry fee is $25 for the first entry and $10 for each additional entry, with a maximum of 20 total entries. Payment is non-refundable and does not guarantee acceptance. For 3D work, there is no need to pay for additional entries for detail shots; additional views may be sent by email to [email protected].

The selection process uses director's choice curation and jury by Creative Director Amy Matteson Neill along with an anonymous committee of jurors. No personal feedback is given by jurors. This call is open to artists worldwide, both amateur and professional. Work previously selected for Art Fluent exhibits will not be considered. Work that is copied or done under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible. All fine art mediums are accepted (oil, acrylic, watermedia, pastel, drawing, printmaking, mixed media, photography, sculpture, fiber, wood, ceramics, film/video, digital art), but AI-generated work will not be accepted. Diptychs and triptychs should be uploaded as a single image. Images must be in JPEG/JPG format, 1,200 pixels or greater on the longest side, with maximum file size of 5 MB. Accepted video formats include MOV, MP4, WMV with aspect ratio 4:3 or 16:9, resolution minimum 640x480, maximum 1920x1080, file size under 100 MB. For accepted video work, a file link via Vimeo is requested. All sales inquiries are directed to the artist's website and contact information, with artists receiving 100% of sales. A portion of entry fee proceeds is donated to organizations committed to the arts and supporting artists.
