Fabulous Fakes 2024

The Fine Arts League of Cary is pleased to announce the Fabulous Fakes Art Exhibition, running from September 24th through November 11th at the Cary Arts Center, 101 Dry Ave, Cary, NC. An artist's reception will be held on September 27th from 6-8 pm. The judge is Tracy Carhart, who earned a BA in Art History from Meredith College and a BFA in Design from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She has interned at the Gregg Museum of Art & Design at NCSU, managed Duke University's Fredric Jameson Gallery, and currently serves on the board of the Fine Arts League of Cary. Her work has been exhibited at the Visual Art Exchange, Durham Art Guild, Litmus Gallery, the Weatherspoon Art Museum, Frankie G. Weems Gallery, the National Humanities Center, and is held in private collections in the US and Europe. She has won awards for both her photography and printmaking.

Awards include: First prize $100, Second prize $75, Third prize $50, Five honorable mentions at $25 each, and People's Choice $75.

Applicants must be members of FALC. All pieces must be dry and wired, framed or gallery wrapped, sized between 10 x 10 to 40 x 40 inches, and weigh less than 50 lbs. All pieces must be labeled on the back with contact information and name of piece. Entry fee is $15.00. One image sample is required.
