Eye of the Camera Photography Exhibition

The City of Littleton Fine Arts Board presents the 47th Annual Eye of the Camera Photography Exhibition, awarding $2,400 in cash prizes. This competition is open to Colorado residents only. Three categories are available: (1) Color digital photographs; (2) Black and White digital photographs; and (3) Black and White film/darkroom processed/printed photographs. Black and White film/darkroom entries may not have any digital aspect including no scanning or digital printing. A total of three photographs may be entered across all categories.

All work must have been produced in the last 3 years and not shown in a Denver area juried photo show in the last two years. The entry fee is $30 (non-refundable). The submission deadline is January 24, 2013 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Judge J.R. Schnelzer is an award-winning Colorado photographer with over 40 years of experience and work published in National Geographic Traveler, Sierra Magazine, and other publications. All entries must be properly framed with strong wire (no saw tooth hangers) and identified with photographer's name, title, and contact information. All entries must be available for sale; the Fine Arts Committee will charge a 25% commission on the sale price of any artwork sold. Accepted photographs will be displayed at the Littleton Museum's Fine Arts Gallery from February 22 - March 31, 2013, with a reception on February 21, 2013 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. Delivery of accepted artwork is required Monday, February 11, 2013 between 3pm and 7pm. Artwork must be picked up Monday, April 1, 2013 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 pm; artwork not picked up at the specified time will be forfeited and become the property of the City of Littleton.
