Eye of the Camera 2014

The City of Littleton Fine Arts Board presents the 48th Annual Eye of the Camera Photography Exhibition. This competition is open to Colorado residents only and awards $2,400 in cash prizes. Entrants may submit up to three photographs total across three categories: color digital photographs, black and white digital photographs, and film/darkroom processed and printed photographs (which may not have any digital aspect including scanning or digital printing).

All work must have been produced in the last three years and not shown in a Denver area juried photo show in the last two years. The entry fee is $30 (non-refundable). Award categories include Best of Show for each category ($500 each), First Place ($300 each), and Second Place ($150 each). Best of Show winners receive a joint exhibition in 2015. The juror is Jeffery Rupp.

Accepted photographs will be displayed at the Littleton Museum's Fine Arts Gallery from February 21 - March 30, 2014, with an opening reception on February 20, 2014 from 5:30 - 7:00 pm. If accepted, artwork must be delivered Monday, February 10, 2014 between 3:00 and 7:00 pm. All accepted entries must be properly framed with strong wire (no saw tooth hangers) and identified with photographer's name, title, price, and contact information. The Fine Arts Committee will charge a 25% commission on the sale price of any artwork sold during the exhibit. All entries must be available for sale. Artwork not picked up by Monday, March 31, 2014 between 3:00 and 7:00 pm will be forfeited and become the property of the City of Littleton.
