Eye of the Camera

The City of Littleton Fine Arts Board presents the 50th Annual Eye of the Camera Photography Exhibition, open to Colorado residents only. The competition awards $2,400 in cash prizes, with categories for color digital photographs, black and white digital photographs, and film/darkroom processed and printed photographs (with no digital aspect allowed).

Entrants may submit up to three photographs total across categories. All work must have been produced in the last three years and not shown in a Denver area juried photo show in the last two years. The entry fee is $30 (non-refundable). Accepted photographs will be displayed at the Littleton Museum's Fine Arts Gallery from February 19 through March 27, 2016. All entries must be available for sale, and the Fine Arts Committee will charge a 25% commission on the sale price of any artwork sold. Accepted entries must be properly framed with strong wire and identified with the photographer's name, title, price, and contact information.

Acceptance notifications will be sent by mail on or around January 15, 2016. If accepted, artwork must be delivered in person on Monday, February 8, 2016 between 3pm and 7pm to the Littleton Museum (no shipping allowed). An opening reception will be held on February 18, 2016 from 5:30pm to 7pm. Artwork pickup is Monday, March 28, 2016 from 3pm to 7pm; artwork not picked up at the specified time will be forfeited. Awards include Best of Show in each category ($500 each), First Place ($300 each), and Second Place ($150 each). Best of Show winners receive a joint exhibition in 2017. The juror is Gary Huibregtse.
