Expressions 2020

EXPRESSIONS 2020 is a national juried fine arts online exhibition presented by the Marin Society of Artists (MSA), a non-profit artist organization since 1927. The online gallery will run May 14-June 27, 2020. The exhibition is open to all artists residing in the United States, age 18 and over. Artists may submit digital images of up to ten original works not previously shown in an MSA juried exhibition. The call invites artists to interpret their ideas, thoughts, and emotions through their art and is open to painting, photography, sculpture, printmaking, mixed media, art of the book, fiber art, fine art crafts, and ceramics. Video, film, and installations are not accepted.

Entry fees are $35 for non-members (3 entries) or $30 for MSA members (3 entries), with an additional $7 per entry up to a total of 10 pieces. Digital entries must be submitted via the CaFE application by Monday, April 20, 2020 before 11:59pm Mountain Time. Notification of acceptance will be by email and posted on the MSA website by May 7, 2020. No more than 2 works by any one artist will be included in the final juried selection. Digital images must be JPG or JPEG format, 1200 pixels or greater on the longest side, and under 5 MB.

Awards include First Prize ($500), Second Prize ($300), Third Prize ($100), and up to three non-monetary Honorable Mention awards at the juror's discretion. The juror is Andrea Schwartz, Founder/President of Andrea Schwartz Gallery in San Francisco. By submitting work, artists agree to offer their work for sale. The artist's email contact information will be posted with their artwork so potential buyers can contact them directly. Artists receive 100% of sales with no commission to MSA.
