About This Call

EXPOSURE is the 19th Annual PRC Juried Exhibition, running June 18–July 26, 2015. The juror is Kristen Gresh, Estrellita and Yousuf Karsh Assistant Curator of Photographs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. Since its inception in 1996, over 300 photographers have shown in the PRC Juried Exhibitions, including established photographers and those cited as "ones to watch." Each year, a respected member of the photographic community selects ten to fifteen artists, then selects between two and five pieces per person, offering artists the opportunity to showcase a series at a deeper level.

Photographers may submit up to ten images from a cohesive, exhibition-ready body of work, along with an artist statement and resume. The entry fee is $40. Current PRC Individual or Institutional Membership is required (valid through July 31, 2015). Membership can be renewed or obtained at www.prcboston.org/individual.htm. The submission deadline is April 12, 2015 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Eligibility is national.

Kristen Gresh was appointed Estrellita and Yousuf Karsh Assistant Curator of Photographs at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston in January 2012. She was the curator of the exhibition "She Who Tells a Story: Women Photographers from Iran and the Arab World" and is the author of the exhibition's companion publication. Gresh taught history of photography at the Ecole du Louvre, Wells College in Paris, and the American University of Cairo. Her Ph.D. dissertation from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes en Sciences Sociales was titled "The Family of Man: A Critical History of an American Photographic Exhibition."
