Exposure New York / Frieze Art Fair Week

Starry Night has partnered with the Select Fair New York to curate, represent and support artists during the Frieze New York Art Fair, May 9-12, 2014. The Exposure Program is dedicated to emerging and established visual artists who want to exhibit, sell and promote their work in front of dealers, galleries and collectors.

All 2D, video and multimedia works are accepted for consideration, with total dimensions not exceeding 30"x30". Applicants must submit a current CV or Artist Resume (PDF/DOC), Artist Statement/Bio, and a minimum of 8 images (up to 10 digital images). Filmmakers may submit video or video links instead of images. The application fee is $10. The total program cost is $3,000, which includes curation, lighting and hanging of artwork, full-time representation during the fair, creation of a digital portfolio, and inclusion in printed and online marketing materials. The program takes 30% commission on sales, leaving artists with 70%. Non-exclusive representation is provided during the fair only; after the fair ends, artists are free to sign with any gallery. Monthly payment plans are available.

Application and supporting materials must be received by February 15, 2014. Print quality images for accepted works must be submitted by April 1, 2014. Works must be received in New York by May 3, 2014 for exhibition. Shipping of artwork back to the artist after the fair is available at additional cost. Artist travel, lodging, framing, and personal liability insurance are not included in program fees.
