Exposure 2024

Exposure 2024 is the annual Photographic Resource Center Members juried show. Since 1996, the exhibition has featured work by more than 400 photographers at various career stages. Each year, a respected member of the photographic community—from curators to gallerists to publishers—selects between 10 to 15 artists for exhibition. The juror then selects between 2 and 4 pieces per artist, offering an opportunity to showcase work at a deeper level than most juried shows. The 2024 juror is Samantha Johnston, Executive Director & Curator, Colorado Photographic Arts Center.

Photographers working in a broad range of exhibition-ready bodies of work are encouraged to apply, including traditional and non-traditional approaches to photography. Applicants must be current members of the Photographic Resource Center through October 2024. For a non-refundable entry fee of $35, photographers may submit 3-6 images from a cohesive body of work, along with a checklist, artist statement, and resume. The maximum size of work is 48" for the largest dimension. If applying with unframed, 3D, or installation-based work, a detailed description including full dimensions, materials, and method of installation must be included with the artist statement.

Applications are accepted from April 1 through May 15, 2024. Selected artists will be notified between June 5-9. The exhibition runs August 9 – September 29, with a gallery reception on September 28 from 5-7pm. Work delivery is July 29 – August 2, and deinstall/return shipping is October 3-4. Selected artists are responsible for packing, arranging delivery and retrieval, and all shipping costs and transit insurance. The PRC requests a 30% commission from any work sold during the exhibition.
