Exposure 2021: The 25th Annual PRC Juried Competition

EXPOSURE 2021 celebrates 25 years of the Photographic Resource Center supporting member photographers with this annual juried exhibition. Since its inception in 1996, more than 300 photographers have shown in EXPOSURE, including both established and emerging artists. Each year a respected member of the photographic community is asked to select between 10 to 15 artists for exhibition. The juror then selects between 2 and 4 pieces per person, offering artists an opportunity to showcase their work at a deeper level than most juried shows.

Photographers working in a broad range of exhibition-ready bodies of work are encouraged to apply, including both traditional and non-traditional approaches to photography. Entries must include 3-6 images from a cohesive body of work, along with a checklist, artist statement, and resume. The entry fee is $30 (non-refundable). You must be a current PRC member through August 31, 2021, to enter. PRC Board members are not eligible. Submission deadline is April 30, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Selected and non-selected artists will be notified by June 1, 2021.

The exhibition runs July 9 - August 20, 2021, at the Mary Cosgrove Dolphin Gallery at Worcester State University. Selected artists are responsible for packing, shipping, and delivery of framed, ready-to-hang work. The PRC requests a 30% commission from any work sold during the exhibition. To celebrate 25 years of EXPOSURE, the PRC Board will select three exhibiting artists to receive the first annual PRC Choice Awards: $500 for the top award and $250 for two additional awards. The juror is Kris Graves, artist and publisher of Kris Graves Projects.
