About This Call
The Photographic Resource Center invites entries for EXPOSURE 2016: The 20th Annual PRC Juried Exhibition, running April 28 – June 26, 2016. This marks the 20th annual iteration of this national juried photography exhibition. Since its inception in 1996, over 300 photographers have exhibited in the PRC Juried Exhibitions, including established photographers and emerging artists. The exhibition will be presented as part of the Flash Forward Festival in Boston (May 1-8, 2016), with the opening scheduled for Thursday, May 5th.
Jurors for this year's exhibition are Anita Douthat (Associate Director, Carl Solway Gallery), John P. Jacob (McEvoy Family Curator for Photography at Smithsonian American Art Museum), Leslie K. Brown (independent curator and educator), George Slade (Founder and Executive Director of TC Photo), and Francine Weiss (independent curator and faculty at New Hampshire Institute of Art's low-residency MFA Photography Program). Jurors will select between ten to fifteen artists, with two to five pieces per person. The exhibition seeks a broad range of work, including both traditional and non-traditional approaches to photography.
Photographers may submit up to ten images from a cohesive, exhibition-ready body of work, along with an artist statement and resume. Entry fee is $40. Current PRC Individual or Institutional Membership is required (valid through June 30, 2016). Deadline for submission is Sunday, February 7, 2016 (before 11:59 p.m. MST). Eligibility is national.
