Expose yourSELF In Art

Gallery 114 invites artists to use any 2D or 3D format to reveal their "selves" in this juried exhibit. This is a show promoting the "selfie" in variant forms. The gallery is seeking diverse self portraiture – whether in realistic, expressionistic, abstract, allegorical, political, or other possible expressions.

All 2 and 3 dimensional media are welcome. Works must be original and should not extend beyond 7 feet in height and 5 feet in width. Prices for a single piece should not exceed $5,000. The entry fee is $30 for up to three submissions. Submissions must be received by December 5, 2017 at 12:00 am Central Time. Accepted artists will be notified on December 9, 2017. Accepted works must arrive by 5 PM December 30, 2017. Each accepted entry must be installation-ready, framed or encased, with appropriate hanging hardware and installation instructions, and clearly labeled with the artist's name and title of the work.

The opening reception is Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 6-9 PM, and the show runs through January 27, 2018. All work must be picked up by 6 PM January 27, 2018 if local, or will be returned during the two weeks following the close of the exhibition if prepaid return shipping is included. Gallery 114 will insure works while on site for the insurance value indicated on entries. Gallery 114 may photograph the work for reproduction on the gallery website, press releases, and social media. Artists are responsible for all shipping and return shipping costs, including insurance.
