EXPO 44 International Juried Competition

EXPO 44 is an international juried competition open to all artists 18 years of age and older. The juror is Emily Olek, Curatorial Assistant in the Department of Drawings and Prints at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.

Accepted media includes all fine arts (no crafts): watercolor, oils, acrylic, mixed media, printmaking, pastel, drawing, collage, sculpture, installation art, video (short), photography, original digital art, and fiber art. All work must be original; no collaborations are accepted. Artists may submit up to 6 images and/or 2 videos. Entry fee is $35.00. The submission deadline is December 20, 2024 at 11:59 p.m. MST.

Selected artists will be included in a virtual online exhibition on the gallery's website from February 1 through March 31, 2025. Work will be promoted on the gallery's social media platforms. Cash awards will be given for 1st place ($300), 2nd place ($200), and 3rd place ($100). A reception will be held Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 7:00 p.m. EST via Zoom; the reception will be recorded. Artists will be notified on or about January 17, 2025. By entering, artists consent to the use of their name, artist statement, and images of their art in all advertising and publicity for EXPO 44, including print, video, online, Zoom, bjspokegallery.org, and social media.
