EXPO 43 International Juried Competition

EXPO 43 is an international juried competition open to all artists 18 years of age and older. The juror is Emily Olek, Curatorial Assistant in the Department of Drawings and Prints at the Museum of Modern Art, New York.

Accepted media includes all fine arts (no crafts): watercolor, oils, acrylic, mixed media, printmaking, pastel, drawing, collage, sculpture, installation art, video (short), photography, original digital art, and fiber art. Submissions must be original work by the artist; no collaborations are accepted. Artists may submit up to 6 images and/or 2 videos. Entry fee is $35.00.

Selected artists will be included in a virtual online exhibition on the gallery's website from February 1 through March 31, 2024. Work will be promoted on the gallery's social media platforms. Cash awards will be given for 1st place ($300), 2nd place ($200), and 3rd place ($100). A reception will be held Wednesday, February 7th at 7:00pm EST via Zoom, and will be recorded. Artists will be notified on or about June 3, 2024. If selected, images of artwork, artist name, voice, video, artist's statement and/or bio may be used to promote the exhibition on social media, print, and other publicity.
