About This Call
The b.j.spoke gallery's 41st annual EXPO competition will be judged by Sewon Kang, currently Archivist at The Easton/Bourgeois Archive in NYC and formerly Curatorial Assistant at the Museum of Modern Art.
The competition is international and accepts work in all fine arts media including watercolor, oils, acrylic, mixed media, printmaking, pastel, drawing, collage, sculpture, installation art, video (short), photography, original digital art, and fiber art. The juror will select several works by each chosen artist. Due to Covid-19, the winners' exhibition will be virtual, with work displayed on the gallery website and social media. The official show dates are March 1 to March 31, 2022. A Zoom reception will be held in March for artists, guests, and the public. Winners will be notified by the third week of December 2021. Three small cash prizes will be awarded.
Entry fee is $35.00. Artists may submit up to 2 applications. Work samples may include up to 6 images and 2 videos, with a minimum of 1 sample and maximum of 8 total samples. All entries must be original fine art; crafts are not accepted. Artists living in the United States or abroad are eligible.
