EXPO 40

The b.j. Spoke Gallery's 40th annual EXPO competition is an international juried competition open to all fine arts media including watercolor, oils, acrylic, mixed media, printmaking, pastel, drawing, collage, sculpture, installation art, video (short), photography, original digital art, and fiber art. The competition will be judged by Francesca Altamura, who has served as curatorial assistant at the New Museum in New York and has curated and co-curated exhibitions of emerging artists with a broad background in art history.

Due to Covid-19, the winners' exhibition will be virtual. The official show dates are March 1 to March 31, 2021. Winners' work will be displayed on the gallery website and social media. In lieu of a physical reception, a Zoom party will be held on March 6th for artists, their guests, and the public. There will be 3 small cash prizes awarded. The juror will be asked to select several works by each chosen artist.

Entry fee is $35.00. Applicants may submit up to 2 applications. Work samples may include up to 6 images and 2 videos, with a minimum of 1 total sample and maximum of 8 total samples.
