Exploring the Light Photo Show 2018

Exploring the Light Photo Show 2018 is a photography exhibition hosted by the City of Lone Tree at the Lone Tree Arts Center. The show runs from March 29 to May 29, 2018, with viewing hours Monday through Friday, 10am-4pm, and prior to or during performances.

Eligible photographers must be local to Colorado and may submit up to 3 original images completed within the last 2 years that have not been shown in a previous Lone Tree Photo Show. Images must be for sale and non-offensive to a general audience of all ages. Submissions are accepted in five categories: Animals, Food, Landscape, Portraits, and Urban. The entry fee is $35 (non-refundable), payable via credit card through CaFE or by check made payable to the City of Lone Tree. All images must be delivered framed and ready to hang, meeting gallery quality standards with proper hardware and picture wire suitable for the Arakawa Hanging System. Framed images must not exceed 48" or weigh more than 35lbs. Images cannot display the artist's name or identifying marks on the front; signatures on the back are acceptable.

Photographers must deliver and pick up their work in person during designated times only (Drop-off: March 28th, 7:30am-10:30am; Pick-up: May 30th, 7:30am-10am). Images will not be accepted by mail or courier services. Individual images are juried through a blind jury review process. Total cash awards are estimated at $3,350, including Best of Show, first and second place winners in each category, and People's Choice. Award-winning photographers receive gallery space at the Lone Tree Arts Center for several weeks after the show. The Lone Tree Arts Center retains a 20% commission on all sales.
