Exploring the Light Photo Show 2015

The 13th annual Lone Tree juried photo competition runs April 28 - May 31, 2015 at the Lone Tree Arts Center (10075 Commons Street, Lone Tree, Colorado, 80124), presented by the Lone Tree Arts Commission and the Lone Tree Photo Club.

Photographers must be local and able to deliver and pick up their photos in person. Eligible photographers may enter up to three images. Images must be originals executed and altered by the photographer only, non-offensive to a general audience of all ages, and for sale. Images must have been completed within the last three years and not shown in a previous Lone Tree Photography Show. Photographers may submit in multiple categories: Landscape, Animals, Abstract, Portraits/People, and Macro. Entry fee is $35 (non-refundable), payable via credit card on CaFE or check made payable to the City of Lone Tree. Application deadline is March 27, 2015 by midnight via www.callforentry.org.

All images must be delivered framed and ready to hang, meeting gallery quality standards with proper hardware and picture wire suitable for the Arakawa Hanging System. Framed images must not weigh more than 35 lbs. Images cannot display the artist name or identifying mark on the front; they may be signed on the back. Drop-off is Tuesday, April 28, 2015, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Pick-up is Monday, June 1, 2015, 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. All images must remain on display for the duration of the exhibit and must include finished frame size and sales price on the application.

Total cash awards are estimated at $3,000. Awards include first, second, and third place in every category, Best of Show, and People's Choice. Best of Show and first place winners in each category will be awarded gallery space for approximately 2 weeks at the Lone Tree Arts Center following the photo show. The Lone Tree Arts Center will conduct sales and retain a 20% commission on all sales. Accepted photographers may sell up to six images of bin work at the opening reception only.
