Exploration of Color

Exploration of Color is an online juried exhibition open to artists 18 years of age or older working in all media. The exhibition runs January 3 - February 3, 2025.

The call seeks work that explores and harnesses color. Color is both a representation or symbol of something else and a subject in its own right. There is a certain mystery to color – its power, effect, and centrality – in the history of art. Almost all periods of art have used color to recreate reality, enhance it, or transcend it altogether. The juror is Anna Mikaela Ekstrand, founding editor-in-chief of Cultbytes and Associate Director of The Immigrant Artist Biennial.

Entry fee is $26.00 for three images, with an additional $10.00 media fee for each additional image (3-12 images total, or 0-3 videos). Only original works may be submitted. All artwork must be priced for sale and remain available for sale during the exhibition. Artists will retain a 60% commission on all sales. Accepted artists will be required to upload high-resolution photo files of their work. Notification of acceptance will be sent December 16, 2024. All entry fees are non-refundable.
