About This Call
The exhibition will be held at Gallery Western in Los Angeles, California from February 12, 2023, to February 23, 2023. The dates are subject to change; any changes will be communicated via email.
The exhibition "Existence" seeks artworks that represent "I" in the context of how existence gives meaning and value to the world. The call invites artists to explore how individual existence forms collective identity and how pure artistic expression can discuss the reason for existence. Only two-dimensional works may be entered, limited to 100cm on the longest side, and must have been created in the last three years. Artists must be eighteen or older and located in the United States.
Entry fee is $40 for two entries and $5 for each additional entry (maximum four artworks total). Selected artists will be notified between January 9-12, 2023. The selected artist will exhibit a maximum of four artworks. DANOK Inc. retains a 40% commission on all exhibition sales. Artists must provide their own insurance if desired. Hanging works must be professionally presented and ready to hang; work on paper must be framed. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping, which must include a prepaid UPS return label for US shipments. All shipments must arrive by the due date stated in the invitation email. Application requires artist information, bio, resume, artist statement, and digital images (2-4 images) for each entered artwork.
