About This Call
Art Gallery Studios is a Dab Art Co. gallery located in Colonia Juárez, Mexico City. Housed in a 2-story former residence with 900 sqft of combined exhibition space, the gallery features contemporary display walls while maintaining original colonial style architecture. The gallery is curated exclusively by Micheal Swank, who holds a BFA in Printmaking and Design from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a Masters in Technology from Pepperdine University.
Accepted artwork includes painting, printmaking, sculpture, glass, fiber, functional, digital, photography, installation, mixed media, and new genres. Proposals may include multiple disciplines. Entry fee is $35 for 3 images, with additional images at $5 each (maximum 20 images). An optional Zoom consultation with the curator is available for $75, limited to 1 hour, covering portfolio review, website and social media feedback, and professional guidance. Consultations are non-refundable regardless of exhibition selection.
Entries submitted on or before October 31, 2023 are considered for upcoming exhibition. Entries are reviewed weekly, and notifications are sent via email within 2 weeks after the close of each calendar month. On average, the gallery selects 10-20 artists each month for solo exhibitions and group shows (online and in-gallery). All work must be original, unsold, and owned solely by the artist. 2D artwork must be ready to hang with professional-quality frames, mats, and wiring. Artists are responsible for round-trip shipping and insurance. Gallery retains 50% commission on all sales. Payment to artists is provided within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from the buyer. For inquiries, contact [email protected].
