Exhibition of Contemporary Art

The Jed Malitz V2 Gallery, located in the New Orleans Arts District, invites artists to submit work for an ongoing group selling exhibition. The gallery features a pristine all-white interior and showcases contemporary artworks demonstrating inspired vision and inventive techniques. No prior exhibition history or media coverage is required; artists at all stages of their careers are welcome to apply.

Each invited artist's work will be scheduled for display at the gallery for a minimum of 6 consecutive weeks, starting no later than 1 year after the artist is invited. Exhibition dates will be worked out with each artist well in advance and must be mutually agreed upon. The gallery aims to begin exhibiting selected artists' works within 1-6 months of receiving their application.

Submitted artworks must be originals made and signed by the artist, not reproductions or prints. All artworks must be available for sale, and artists must entirely own their work and hold exclusive copyrights. Submit images for 1-20 artworks. Artworks of all physical mediums and styles are welcome, but must not be purely digital, rely on electrical systems, use projection, or require custom lighting. Wall-mounted artworks are preferred and must protrude less than 6 inches off the wall and weigh less than 20 pounds. Artworks must be stable, sturdy, and safe to approach closely.

The application fee is $25 (non-refundable). A 40% commission will be retained by the gallery from all sales. Artist-specified sale prices must already include this 40% commission. Payments to artists will be issued no later than 30 days after each artwork is sold. Artists are responsible for all roundtrip transport costs and must maintain their own insurance for their works. Unsold artworks must be picked up within 30 days of notification from the gallery.
