Exhibition & Artist Residency | Mexico City

PRPG.mx is a 14-day artist residency program located in Colonia Juárez, Mexico City, welcoming emerging and experienced artists, designers, architects, curators, creatives, and researchers. The program does not discriminate based on age, level of experience, sexual orientation, gender identity, genre of artistic expression, or degrees held. The residency is housed in a two-story building in a densely populated and culturally significant neighborhood with walkability to multiple galleries, restaurants, museums, and local cultural events.

The residency includes live work spaces within the residency/gallery space and access to large-scale studio work areas. Participants have the ability to plan an exhibition in the PRPG.mx space, on Artsy.net, or in various spaces throughout the city, ranging from one-night pop-up events to several-week exhibitions. The organization is sponsored by the Secretaria de Cultura and Secretaria de Teatro in Mexico and connected to las Casa Culturas and other venues. Additional project costs, food, transportation, and promotional expenses will be discussed during the planning process.

Entry fee is $45 for submission of up to 5 images. An optional video consultation with curator Micheal Swank is available for $60, limited to 1 hour maximum via Zoom, with a recorded copy provided to the artist. Consultations have no bearing on final selections. Gallery retains a 50% commission on all exhibition sales in gallery and online. Sales remittances are paid by Dab Art Co. within 60 days after the exhibit concludes and receipt of full payment from buyer. Submissions completed on or before June 30, 2021 will be considered for the residency program. Final notifications are sent via email within 2 weeks after the close of each calendar month.
