Exhibit Proposals for 2019-2021 Season

The Art Gallery at Umpqua Community College is seeking exhibition proposals for the 2019-2021 exhibition seasons. Emerging and established artists age 18 and over from the United States and Canada are encouraged to apply. All media will be considered, and accepted artists may be offered solo or small group exhibits.

Eligible works include drawing, painting, printmaking, photography, ceramics, sculpture, and video installation. Entries must have been created within the last two years. Two-dimensional works should not exceed 60" x 60" and 20 lbs without prior arrangement. Individual or component parts of three-dimensional works cannot exceed 60" in width, 60" in depth, and 84" in height, nor weigh more than 40 lbs without prior arrangement. Works must be suitably framed, firmly wired, professionally presented, and ready for display. No sawtooth hangers or sandwich frames. Video installations must include projection equipment. All artwork must be clearly labeled with artist's name, title, media, and price (or NFS). Work that is copied or completed under the guidance of an instructor is not eligible.

Applications require up to ten images (JPEG format, at least 1200 pixels on longest edge, under 5 MB) and up to three videos (3GP, WMV, AVI, MOV, ASF, MPG, MP4, M2T, MKV, M2TS format, under 100 MB, minimum 640x480 resolution, minimum 12 fps), along with an artist statement (up to 1000 characters), CV (up to 2 pages), and a list of images submitted with title, dimensions, media, and date. Entry fee is $20.00 (non-refundable). Application deadline is April 28, 2019 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Notification by email will be sent May 30, 2019. The Art Gallery will retain a 20% commission on all works sold during the exhibit, with payment submitted to the artist within 30 days of the close of the show.
