Executive Director, Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis

The Philharmonic Orchestra of Indianapolis, a volunteer community orchestra established 86 years ago, is seeking an Executive Director. This is a part-time position requiring 25 hours per week with a salary of $30,000+ per year.

The Executive Director serves as the key management position for the Orchestra and its choral arm, the Symphonic Praise Choir. The ED has operational responsibility for administration of programs and implementation of the strategic plan, including leadership of development, operations, budget adherence, marketing, and community outreach. The position works with the Board of Directors, artistic management personnel, and volunteers to fulfill the organization's mission. The organization operates on an annual budget of approximately $150,000, holds 6-8 performances per year, and operates a one-week summer music camp. It interfaces with school systems, community churches, the Indianapolis Public Library, and other community organizations.

The POI seeks an energetic candidate with experience managing arts organizations in a nonprofit setting, including community and financial development and volunteer management.
