About This Call
Evidence and Advocacy is a juried exhibition held in conjunction with the Society for Photographic Education (SPE) Northeast Regional conference in Boston, MA, November 6-7, 2015. The exhibition explores the theme of "Advocacy: Photography's Role in Affecting Change" and seeks work that documents and explores events and issues, as well as work that facilitates dialogue and amplifies voices. The exhibition is open to current SPE Members only.
Photographers may submit up to five (5) images from a cohesive, exhibition-ready body of work, along with an artist statement and resume. The entry fee is $10 per entry. Work must be ready-to-hang and framed, with delivery required on or before October 29. The exhibition runs November 5, 2015 - January 10, 2016 at the Photographic Resource Center at Boston University (832 Commonwealth Avenue). A reception will be held Saturday evening, November 7, from 5 – 8:30pm.
Jurors include Maria Magdalena Campos-Pons (keynote speaker), Bruce Myren (SPE Northeast regional chair), and Camilo Ramirez (Emerson College). The Photographic Resource Center is an independent 501(c)(3) non-profit organization founded in 1976, located on the Boston University campus.
