EVFAC's Annual Fall Fiber Fiesta - Call for Artists

EVFAC's Annual Fall Fiber Fiesta is a juried fiber arts event held at the Scottish Rite Masonic Temple in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The event takes place November 23-24, with check-in and setup on November 22 from 10 am–2 pm. An artist reception and silent auction will be held November 22 from 5 pm–8 pm (public invited).

Individual artists must be active EVFAC members from October 1 through November 24. Organizations do not need to be members. All work must be hand-crafted by the artist. Participants must be present for check-in and check-out. Individual artists manage their own displays, inventory, and customer interactions. EVFAC group members must include all inventory items on an inventory form with EVFAC barcodes before items can be sold. Participants are responsible for their own insurance covering breakages, loss, and theft. A completed W-9 must be submitted to EVFAC before the event.

Application fee is $20 (non-refundable), due by September 27. Participation fees are non-refundable and due by October 22: EVFAC group fee is $75; individual artist fee is $130 (includes one 2.5' x 8' table and 4' x 10' floor space, with free electricity if available); organization fee is $250 (same display space as individual artists). EVFAC manages all sales transactions at a consignment rate of 85 percent for artists and 15 percent for EVFAC. Checks and sales reports are issued approximately three weeks after the event.

Applicants must submit at least three digital images (300 dpi, at least 1.5 MB, jpeg or pdf format) that provide a clear impression of the entire collection, with at least one image showing an item being worn, hung, or used. A brief description of the work for jurors is required. Regional fiber artists will jury applications based on diversity of techniques, price point, quality of work, and quality of photographs. All applicants will be notified of acceptance within two weeks of the application deadline. EVFAC group inventory deadline is November 1.
