About This Call
JCO'S Art Haus invites emerging and established artists, Bay Area-based and beyond, to apply to the Affordable Art Show. This curated, gallery-style exhibition features the theme "Everything Good In The World" and aims to present "something for everyone." The show accepts submissions in multiple waves, with the next wave deadline of June 10th, 2021. Top-selling artists will be invited to be represented full-time by the gallery.
The gallery is interested in artists working in all mediums and themes, including landscapes, city scenes, pop art, indoor and outdoor sculpture, mixed media, florals, abstracts, large-scale work, and still life. Artwork should cost $5,000 and under, with flexible pricing for large-scale work. Gallery pricing and studio pricing must be consistent. The $15 non-refundable application fee is the only cost; there are no exhibitor fees or staffing requirements. All sales are split 50% artist / 50% Art Haus.
Applications require 6-13 high-quality images of work, three preferred 30-minute time slots for a virtual studio visit via Zoom, an artist statement of one to two cohesive paragraphs, and a link to portfolio website and/or professional social media. Selected artists will participate in virtual studio visits on June 11th-12th, with notifications by June 15th. Artwork drop-off is June 25th-26th. The Affordable Art Show runs from May 20th through September 12th, 2021. The show has been promoting accessible art and under-represented artists since 2001.
