Everyday People

Drawing Rooms invites submissions for "Everyday People," an exhibition running June 5-29, 2025, with an opening reception on Saturday, June 7. The gallery seeks artwork featuring self-portraits, portraits of family, friends, strangers, or imaginary people in a range of styles from realism to expressionism to abstraction. This exhibition is dedicated to Sly and The Family Stone. Artists must be over 18 and work must be original (no AI or reproductions).

Acceptable media includes wall-mounted works on paper or canvas, photography, collage, or textiles. Works must be for sale and no larger than 18 x 24 inches (interior frame size). Works can be unframed, framed in simple white, black, or wood tones, or mounted on cradled panel. All works must be ready-to-hang. Unframed paper must be durable enough for exhibition with clips.

Entry fee is $30. Submissions deadline is May 2, 2025 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. Artists will be notified by May 7, 2025. Drop-off dates are May 17, 22, 27, and 28. Unframed works on paper may be mailed (must arrive by May 27). Pickup is June 29-30, with mail-back starting June 30. All works are insured while in the gallery's possession. Sales commissions are split 60% to artists and 40% to Drawing Rooms, with payment within 30 days. Submit up to 5 JPG images (minimum 1,200 pixels on the shorter dimension) along with a bio (2-3 sentences) and artist statement (200 words or less).
