Evergreen Sculpture Walk 2025-2026

Sculpture Evergreen became part of Center for the Arts Evergreen (CAE) on January 1, 2023. Over the years, Sculpture Evergreen created a highly respected program of public art acquisition to beautify open spaces and public buildings in Evergreen, CO, in the foothills west of Denver. CAE continues this legacy through the annual Sculpture Walk.

Initiated in 1999, this is a juried exhibition of up to 16 large sculptures suitable for outdoor display. All works must be original. A stipend of $1,200 will be awarded for each accepted sculpture, with an additional Juried Award of $1,000 for artistic excellence. Sculptures will be on display for one year until June 5, 2026. Sculptures must be soundly and professionally constructed to withstand wind gusts up to 75 mph. Sculptures must have a steel mounting plate for welding to a pedestal, have another suitable attachment method, or be of sufficient weight and durability to be safely placed on the ground. Sculptures must be at least 4 feet tall to be eligible; pieces between 4 and 12 feet in height have the best chance of being selected. All works must be original and identical to submitted images. Submitted works may not have been shown in Evergreen before, and duplicates cannot be on display within a 50-mile radius of Evergreen.

Entry fee is $35 for two submissions or $45 for three submissions. Work sample requirements: 2-3 images per submission. Artists must be present for installation on June 6-7, 2025, and for deinstallation in the first week of June 2026. CAE will provide one night of overnight accommodations for artists traveling more than 50 miles from Evergreen. All sculptures will be listed for sale in a published brochure and on CAE's website. CAE receives a 30% commission on sales during the exhibition. Selected artists may also provide up to 5 small pieces for the CAE retail gift shop, with a 60% commission to the artist on sales. Artists will be notified of acceptance by mid-February 2025.
