Evendale Fine Art Exhibit

The Village of Evendale Cultural Arts Center & Recreation Center presents the Evendale Fine Art Exhibit, May 2-5, 2014. This exhibit celebrates diverse, talented artists living or working within a 50 mile radius of Evendale (10500 Reading Rd., Cincinnati, OH 45241).

Eligibility: Open to artists 21 and older living or working within a 50 mile radius of Evendale. All fine art disciplines are encouraged, including paintings (oils, acrylic, watercolor, pastels), sketches, etchings, and sculpture. No giclees, photography, or computer-generated artwork accepted. All works must be original in concept, design, and execution and will be evaluated for appropriateness as the exhibit is held in a family recreation center. A maximum of five pieces may be submitted, with up to three accepted. Entry fees are $30 for the first piece and $10 for each additional piece. Evendale residents pay $30 for the first piece and $10 for each additional piece. Early bird deadline (March 10, 2014) pricing: $20 for the first piece and $5 for each additional piece; Evendale residents are free. Entry fees are non-refundable.

Accepted artwork must be hand-delivered during scheduled times. Size and weight are limited to what one person can move; hung work must weigh less than 20 pounds and measure no larger than 36 X 36 inches without special approval. Artwork must be appropriately framed or museum-wrapped canvas and wired for hanging. No sawtooth hangers accepted. Labels must be securely attached to the back or bottom with artist's name, title, medium, price, and email address. Artists are encouraged to offer work for sale; ECAC takes no commission and is not responsible for taxes. Insurance is the artist's responsibility. Awards: Best in Show ($300 and one-person show at ECAC), 2nd Place ($200), 3rd Place ($100), and three Honorable Mention awards ($50 each). Juror: Tom Post, freelance illustrator with BFA in Fine Arts from Columbus College of Art and Design.
