Ethereal

Ethereal is a juried exhibition open to all artists over the age of 18 who reside in the United States. Artists are invited to submit work that is inspired by or holds a mystical essence—a quality that possesses almost perfect or extremely delicate features that pertain to a spiritual realm rather than of this earth. All work must be original and completed in the last two years, and must be accurately represented in jpeg images or video files.

The exhibition accepts video, 2D, and 3D work. Professional presentation is required. 2D work must be framed and have a secure way to hang if needed; for canvases, the sides and all staples must be covered. Submissions are made through CAFÉ with files not exceeding 5MB. For 3D works, detail images can be emailed to [email protected] to avoid exceeding the maximum media allotment. The entry fee is $25 per artist, invoiced upon receipt of entry, regardless of acceptance.

Notifications will be sent on 5/1/2024. Artwork must be received between 5/20/2024-5/23/2024 during gallery hours. The exhibition runs 6/5/2024-6/27/2024 at the IU Kokomo Art Gallery, located at 2300 S. Washington St., Kokomo, IN (Library Building, Room KA-102). Delivery and pick-up are the artist's responsibility; artwork may be personally dropped off during gallery hours or shipped in a sturdy, reusable box with a prepaid return shipping label. Artwork not picked up within 30 days after the exhibition ends becomes the property of the Indiana University Kokomo Art Gallery. Gallery hours are Monday-Thursday, 10:00am–5:00pm.
