Escape

NEXT Gallery, an artist-owned and operated gallery, is seeking artist interpretations of escape for a national exhibition. The gallery is looking for artwork that explores escape to rather than escape from—the place where you seek refuge or inspiration. All mediums are welcome.

Submissions will be juried by NEXT artists Terra Marks and Natalie Smith. The entry deadline is June 7, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. MDT. The $35 entry fee covers up to 3 art pieces/images. Accepted work will be exhibited at NEXT Gallery from June 25 - July 11, 2021. Results of judging will be emailed the week of June 7, 2021. Accepted artwork must be received by June 22, 2021 and may be hand-delivered or mailed. Mailed works must not exceed 40" in any dimension and must include pre-paid return shipping.

All artwork must be original, completed, and ready to hang. Maximum size is 5' x 5' for 2D works and 5' x 2' x 2' for sculptures (dimensions include framing and mounting). No installations or artwork requiring intensive assembly, special technical installation, or ceiling hangs will be accepted. Artwork must be for sale; accepted works incur a 30% commission. Unsold artwork must be picked up by July 12, 2021. Submissions are online only through callforentry.org. Image files must be JPEG format, minimum 1920 pixels on the longest side, 72 ppi/dpi resolution, and 5 MB maximum.
