Ephemerality - Juried Exhibition

Ephemerality is a juried exhibition held at Strata Gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico, running from April 4 - April 21, 2023. This exhibition features artworks that speak to the ephemeral—the fleeting moments in life that artists attempt to capture. The exhibition invites artists whose work addresses or involves moments, change, materiality, time, and emotion. Any artist working in painting, drawing, sculpture, printmaking, photography, or mixed media is encouraged to apply.

Submission Requirements: Submit 3-6 images in .jpg format with annotations including artist name, artwork title, date of completion, medium, dimensions (in inches), and price. Wall-mounted work has a maximum size of 40x40 inches (12 inches deep for wall-mounted sculpture) and maximum weight of 25 lbs. All artwork must be ready to hang/display with proper hardware and must remain available for the duration of the exhibition. Entry fee is $35 for the first three submissions, with $10 per additional submission (maximum of 6 total submissions). Submission deadline is February 1, 2023 at 11:59 p.m. MST. Notification date is March 1, 2023, with work delivery deadline of March 20, 2023.

Prizes: $200 Best of Show, $150 Assistant Director's Choice, and $50 Honorable Mention. Selection criteria include compliance with submission requirements, uniqueness and originality, visual impact, and demonstrated excellence of technique. Artists handle sales of their own work; Strata Gallery collects buyer contact information and takes a 20% commission on sold artwork. Unsold works can be picked up April 22, 2023 (10pm-12pm).
