Enter Your Film! Torchfire Film Festival

Torchfire Film Festival is a celebration of independent filmmaking held in Franklin, Indiana. The festival showcases winning films at the historic Artcraft Theatre, with a special emphasis on Indiana filmmakers. While welcoming indie filmmakers from across the globe, the festival has dedicated two distinct categories exclusively for Indiana Filmmakers, with special screenings of their winning films.

The festival accepts feature-length and short films across multiple categories: Best Feature-Length Film, Best Documentary, Best Animation, Best Short Film (under 30 mins), and Best Student Short Film (under 30 mins, open to high school and college students). Indiana-specific categories include Best INDIANA Feature-Length Film, Best INDIANA Documentary, Best INDIANA Animation, Best INDIANA Short Film (under 30 mins), and Best INDIANA Student Short Film (under 30 mins, open to Indiana high school and college students only). To qualify for Indiana categories, filmmakers must be living in Indiana, from Indiana, or have shot their film in Indiana.

Submissions open September 1, 2025. Deadlines include: Earlybird (February 1, 2026), Regular (May 1, 2026), Extended (June 1, 2026), and SUPER Late (July 1, 2026). Filmmakers will be notified of acceptance on July 13, 2026. The festival event takes place August 27, 2026 at the Historic Artcraft Theatre in Franklin, Indiana.
