Key Details
About This Call
Englewood Arts invites artists working in Performing and Visual Arts—including Glassblowing, Ceramics, Woodworking, Painting, Fibers, 2D/3D, Performance, or Writing—to apply for their fourth year of artist residencies. EA is committed to building meaningful connections between artists and the broader community through access, collaboration, and creative exchange. The residency program supports artists at different stages of their professional journey while fostering an environment of experimentation, learning, and shared growth.
Residents can anticipate 24/7 access to a semi-private studio space with private shelving, access to Glass, Woodworking, Ceramic, Fiber studios and Performance spaces, a stipend, paid teaching opportunities, exhibition opportunities including an annual resident group exhibition, and a growing network of professional artists and engaged community members. Limited shared living accommodations may be available at monthly costs ranging from $400 to $600.
EA offers three residency levels based on professional development needs and program alignment. Foundation Resident Artists (within 1-3 years of professional practice) receive a $1,000 stipend and structured professional development. Studio Resident Artists (3-6 years of professional experience) receive a $1,500 stipend and optional professional development. Career Resident Artists (seventh to twelfth year of professional practice) receive a $2,000 stipend with maximum creative autonomy and no service requirement. Applicants must submit a written proposal of interest (500 words max), resumé with short bio (500 words max), 10 digital images of work (or 2-5 writing samples/5,000 word max), and two professional references. Artists must not be currently in a degree-seeking program at the start of the residency. Media-specific eligibility requires a degree from an accredited university or equivalent experience; Glassblowing and Ceramics require 2+ years of professional studio experience. Entry fee: $20.
