Enduring Brilliance!

The PSA Annual exhibition is open to all PSA members with up-to-date membership. Apply for membership by April 14, 2025, to be eligible to submit paintings. The PSA Annual must be the first significant showing of each artwork. Paintings may not have been accepted in any previous major pastel, sponsored exhibition, or published competition before the PSA opening on Tuesday, September 2, 2025. Accepted artwork may not be exhibited concurrently in other shows, including virtual shows.

Works must be in soft pastel with no oil pastels. Mixed media must be predominantly soft pastel, with the artwork's final surface at least 80% traditional soft pastel. All artwork must be original and created from your own reference, not copied from other artists or published materials. Work done in a classroom, workshop, or online group scenario is not eligible. All artwork must be initially drawn and not created on top of any photographic image. There are no size limitations. All subjects and styles, from traditional realism to contemporary abstraction, are eligible. Artwork must have been created in the past four years and must be for sale (no NFS or por). Failure to ship accepted artwork will result in a two-year ban from future PSA annual exhibitions.

Entry fee is a flat $55 for 1, 2, or 3 entries and is non-refundable. Submit original, high-quality JPEG image files at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Crop images to show only the artwork itself with no visible matting, frames, or background. Ensure images are oriented correctly and use the sRGB color profile for best results. The entry deadline is June 2, 2025. After submission and payment, you may log back in to review, edit artist and image information, and add or substitute images until the entry deadline. Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline, and incomplete entries will be disqualified. For questions about the exhibition, contact [email protected].
