Enchanted Colors

This is a call for original soft pastel paintings for PSNM. Entry fees are $40 for PSNM members or $45 for non-members, with each entry covering up to 3 paintings.

Artwork requirements: All work must be at least 80% soft pastel with original artwork only. Source material must be available to PSNM upon request, and no portion of the artwork or source material should be created or referenced using Artificial Intelligence (AI). Paintings must be a minimum of 8"x10" (or 80 sq. in.) and a maximum of 36" in any direction. All work must be sturdily framed and ready to hang with strong screws and wire. Frames must not have name plaques on the front or signed mats, and metal frames are not accepted. Use glass (no non-glare or frosted glass); for paintings 850 sq. in. or larger that are shipped, Plexiglas is acceptable. All work must be for sale with a minimum sale price of $500, and artists will receive 50% of the sale price.

Submissions can be hand-delivered, shipped, or digital display only. For shipped work, use commercial carriers such as UPS or FedEx only—not USPS. Shipping costs are the artist's responsibility both to and from the show. Taos Crating handling fees apply: $50 per container for Airfloat Strongbox or U-Line Deluxe Art Shippers, $60 per container for other corrugated shipping containers or wooden crates, and $20 for each additional painting in the same container. A storage rental fee of $5 per day applies for paintings arriving before March 6. Submit high-quality JPEG image files at least 1200 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should be cropped to show only the artwork with correct orientation. The entry deadline is January 31, 2025. For questions, contact [email protected].
