Enchanted Colors

This is a soft pastel painting exhibition organized by PSNM. All work must be original artwork that is at least 80% soft pastel, with a minimum dimension of 8"x10" (or 80 sq. in.) and a maximum dimension of 36" in any direction. All work must be for sale with a minimum sale price of $500, and artists will receive 50% of the sale price.

Entry fees are $40 for PSNM members or $45 for non-members, covering up to 3 entries. Fees must be paid by January 31, 2024, and are non-refundable. Paintings may be hand-delivered, shipped, or displayed digitally. Shipped paintings should be sent via UPS or FedEx (not USPS) with commercial carriers. Paintings must be sturdily framed and ready to hang with strong screws and wire. Frames must not be metal, and glass (not non-glare or frosted) is required; Plexiglas is acceptable for paintings 850 sq. in. or larger. No name plaques on the front of frames or mats, and no signed mats are permitted. Artists are responsible for all shipping costs both to and from the show. Taos Crating handling fees apply: $50 per container for Airfloat Strongbox or U-Line Deluxe Art Shippers, $60 per container for other corrugated containers or wooden crates, and $20 for each additional painting in the same container. Storage rental fees of $5 per day apply for paintings arriving before March 15.

Submissions must include high-quality JPEG image files at least 1200 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should be cropped to show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background.
