About This Call

Exhibizone invites artists worldwide to visualize and share their artistic expressions of Emptiness in this annual international exhibition, celebrating its fourth year in 2025. Emptiness is a concept with profound layers, transcending simple definitions. From a Western perspective, it often conveys loneliness, sorrow, or the void of purpose. However, in Eastern philosophies, Emptiness can represent stillness, harmony, and the essence of life itself. In Zen, Emptiness is a place of interconnectedness, fullness, and calm, "the ground of everything," as Thich Nhat Hanh described.

The exhibition welcomes interpretations across multiple categories, including: Solitude and Stillness, Abandoned Landscapes, Conceptual Emptiness, Minimalist Silence, Emptiness in Nature, Urban Emptiness, The Abstract Void, and Existential Reflection. All 2D and 3D forms are welcome, whether abstract or representational. Submission is free; a small, fixed selection fee applies only to artists whose works are selected.

Selected artworks will be exhibited in an online group exhibition globally from February 26 to April 26, 2025. Selected artworks will be promoted for sale via the online exhibition link. Both artworks available for sale and those not for sale are welcome. Selected artworks and artists will be published in an exhibition catalogue available online and via print-on-demand, promoted internationally through popular publication gateways. Up to 10 artists will receive an Honorable Mention personalized digital award certificate. Exhibition links and artist pages will remain active for life. Artists will receive a downloadable exhibition poster link, promotional badges, artwork reviews from visitors, regular reports with analytics and engagement statistics, and a digital certificate of participation. Some selected artworks may be featured in various magazines, books, and publications within the Biafarin art network. Each artist will receive a free online profile page on the Biafarin platform.
