Emerging Excellence

Emerging Excellence is an annual juried student art show open to undergraduate and graduate art students in the Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas area. The show is hosted by the Tower Gallery at the Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau.

Participants may submit up to ten two-dimensional works of art. Work will be judged individually based on the quality of composition and technique, overall impression, and the effect of the artwork in general. There is no entry fee. Accepted artwork will be displayed in the Tower Gallery from December 3, 2016 through January 15, 2017. Prizes will be awarded: $500 for 1st place, $300 for 2nd place, and $200 for 3rd place.

Selected works must be ready to hang and prepared for installation. Submissions must include artist name, title, medium, and dimensions. Artists may offer works for sale, in which case a W-9 and price list must be submitted when artwork is delivered. A loan agreement must be completed upon receipt of artwork. All accepted work must remain at the Convention and Visitors Bureau for the duration of the exhibition. Only two-dimensional mediums are accepted. No nudes. Artwork delivery deadline is November 30, 2016. Accepted artwork must be picked up by January 30, 2017.
