About This Call
Palette & Chisel Academy of Fine Arts is accepting submissions for the Emerging Artists Show, running August 28 – September 26, 2026 in Chicago, IL.
Eligibility: Artists under the age of 40 living in the United States. Work must be 2-D in any non-digital medium and original to the artist. AI-generated work and giclée prints are not allowed. Work must be for sale and framed, wired, and ready to hang upon delivery. Dimensions must be no smaller than 8" x 10" and no larger than 30" x 40". Work exceeding 30" x 24" is subject to a $20 uncrating fee. A maximum of 2 pieces per artist will be selected.
Submission Requirements: Entry fee is $35 for 3 works, with each additional image costing $10. Submit high-quality JPEG images at least 1500 pixels on the longest edge with a maximum file size of 30 MB. Images should show only the artwork without matting, frames, or background distractions, and must be oriented correctly. Work may have been completed under the guidance of a teacher or mentor through verbal critique only, but the entirety of the work must have been created by the artist's hand. Any references used must be the artist's intellectual property or have formal permission. Entry fees are non-refundable and must be submitted by the deadline. Entries cannot be accepted or changed after the deadline, and incomplete entries will be disqualified.
