Emerging Artists Pre-Qualified List

This opportunity is open to all artists who have little or no experience with public art commissions. Applicants may work in any medium and must have created a documented body of artistic work. Artists must demonstrate professional experience with an art exhibit, project, installation, or event that was open to the public.

Emerging artists must be committed to the creation of art in public places and be able and willing to work collaboratively with other artists, designers, architects, engineers, fabricators, city officials, and staff. Applicants must live within a 150-mile radius of Dallas, Texas. Undergraduate students enrolled in a college or university program at the time of application are not eligible.

The Emerging Artist Pre-Qualified list will include up to 50 emerging artists and will be maintained for two years from the date of selection. Emerging artists will be eligible for public art commissions of $50,000 or less. Submissions must include 3-6 images of work samples.
